These Terms and Conditions applying to the program of the Havana Salsa Congress 2019

1. RATES

Published REGISTRATION’s fees are based on land only, and do not include international airfares to Cuba. Land-only rates are guaranteed upon receipt of deposit.

2. REGISTRATION AND PAYMENTS

A deposit of the $250 is due at the time of registration. Should the participant cancel for any reason on or before 61 days prior to the Event’s scheduled start day, he/she will be entitled to a 100% refund of the deposit fee. 60 or fewer days prior to the Event’s scheduled start date, none of the Fee will be refunded.

After DEPOSIT, the remainder of the REGISTRATION’s Fee is due 30 calendar days prior to the date that the Event is scheduled to begin. If payment in full of REGISTRATION’s FEE is not received on or before the due date, the participant’s REGISTRATION may be cancelled.

3. CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

If the Participant cancels his or her REGISTRATION in the Event, they will be refunded only as set forth below.

  • 61 days or more prior to the schedule departure date, the REGISTRATION’s fee paid.
  • 31 to 60 days prior to the date that the Event is scheduled to begin, 50% of the REGISTRATION’s fee will be retained, and the balance will be refunded;
  • 30 or fewer days prior to the date that the Event is scheduled to begin, none of the REGISTRATION’s fee will be refunded.

The cancellation will be effective upon Sagua Services and Travel receipt of the written notification by email.

If cancellation is due to governmental action beyond Sagua Services and Travel control, the amount refunded will be reduced to the extent Sagua Services and Travel has incurred expenses in organizing the Event. Other than such a refund, Sagua Services and Traveler will not be responsible to a PARTICIPANT for any other refund, costs, interest, liability or damages of any kind.

4. PASSPORTS AND VISAS

The PARTICIPANT is required to have a passport valid for six months after the return from the PROGRAM and it is PARTICIPANTS responsibility to obtain the required visas if applicable.  Sagua Services and Travel or any commercial carrier flying to Cuba provides the Cuban Visas. PARTICIPANTS holding a passport from a foreign country, green card, U.S. visa, or special-use passport are solely responsible for understanding the limitations imposed on their passport, green card, U.S. visa, or special-use passport regarding re-entry back into the United States. Sagua Services and Travel cannot be held liable for a PARTICIPANT who is refused service by any air carrier or entry into any country because of a restricted visa or passport or denial of a visa by any country’s consular services.  In the event the PARTICIPANT is refused entry to the country of travel because of visa or passport issues or denial of a visa, applicable cancellation penalties apply.

PARTICIPANT is responsible for having on his or her person proper documentation to enter each country of travel as applicable as well as to re-enter the United States, and proper documentation to travel via a third country (if applicable).

5. ADHERENCE TO U.S. LAW & GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS REGARDING TRAVEL TO CUBA

GENERAL LICENSE FOR PUBLIC PERFORMANCES, CLINIS, WORKSHOPS, OTHER ATHLETIC OR NON-ATHLETIC COMPETITIONS AND EXHIBITIONS issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Us Citizen can travel to Cuba under this general license to participate in public performance, clinic, workshop, athletic competition or exhibition in Cuba if meeting certain OFAC criteria, such us: the event held in Cuba is open for attendance to the Cubans; US profits (after costs) will be donated to an independent Cuban  organization or US based charity for the benefit of  the Cuban people and to promote the people-to people exchange in between American and Cuban citizens.

Clinics and workshops in Cuba must be held under the auspices an sponsorship of an authorized US organization or traveler.

6. CUBAN-BORN PARTICIPANTS TRAVELING TO CUBA

PARTICIPANT acknowledges that the Cuban Government imposes different requirements for Cuban-born persons traveling to Cuba than others, and that such a person obtaining a Cuban visa, if needed, can take a minimum of 8 to 12 weeks.  Sagua Services and Travel suggests that all Cuban-born persons wishing to participate in the Event contact Sagua Services and Travel for more information.  Sagua Services and Travel  is not responsible for any information it provides to PARTICIPANTS regarding the Cuban visa or for any delay or denial in the issuance of a Cuban visa, if required.

7. CHANGES TO PROGRAM

We endeavor to operate the Event’s Program as outlined herein. However, circumstances beyond our control may require an adjustment to the Event’s Program or its inclusions. We strive to avoid such changes but must reserve the right to make such modifications. If a PARTICIPANT cancels his or her REGISTRATION in the Event because of a Event’s PROGRAM change, normal cancellation penalties will apply.

We must reserve the right to substitute hotel/house if necessary.

8. TRAVELERS REQUIRING SPECIAL ASSISTANCE

PARTICIPANT must report any disability requiring special attention at the time a reservation is requested. Sagua Services and Travel will make reasonable attempts to accommodate the special needs of such PARTICIPANT, but does not guarantee this, and is not responsible for any denial of services by airline carriers, hotels, transportation agencies, and other independent suppliers. Sagua Services and Travel regrets that it cannot provide individual assistance to a PARTICIPANT for walking, dining, getting on and off motor coaches, ships and other transportation vehicles, or assist with other personal needs. PARTICIPANTS who need such assistance must be accompanied by a qualified companion who is also a PARTICIPANT on the Event.
